Who writes all of this?

Hi there,

Welcome to what amounts to be my nth blog, and if you’d somehow followed my blogging throughout the years, I’d gone from Geocities (OnTheEdgeDotCom), Multiply (nushredder03), Blogspot (talltalesbyasuka, lifeinadreamlessworld) and finally here on WordPress.

edit : I changed it out to my long time site title “Life In A Dreamless World” because I liked the vibe better. I only took the name “Super Dimensional Jojo” because I was having an episode of Macross Fever back in April (2013) of last year.

A blogger friend of mine had been irking me to move here for the longest time, but I kept putting it off, mostly because I’m lazy.

I no longer make my slice of life, rant blogs, but I would be focusing more on my thoughts, art, music, photos, travel, cars and other points that I am interested in.

edit : I might look into making those…again. I am not a poet nor literary geek. I write my “poetry” as it occurs to me. I can barely rhyme to save my life.

I’m from Manila, Philippines – a place I’d love to describe as eternally sunny. But during recent years, it’s half the driest place in the Solar System, half Atlantis. It’s mostly just trying to survive in whatever weather Mother Nature decides to dish out. It’s your typical urban jungle, and if you can make it here, as they say in New York, you can make it anywhere. I’m proudly Filipino, and I’m probably one of the few out there who’s not into making plans to leave this place and settle elsewhere.

I work in phone sales during my working hours (night) and am also a gigging musician for a couple of bands (sometimes at night during weekdays, and mostly on weekends) and quite a car guy if I may. I like writing haikus because I can only count to 17 syllables and cannot come up with rhymes.

In practice, I have no real religious affiliation – a rarity where I’m at. I’d been so for over a decade. But don’t worry, I’m not here to start debates, disprove your beliefs nor shove my ideology down your throat. I have a deep respect towards different cultures and heritage, and as long as you make choices rooted in logic, reason, empathy, and do not put yourself nor society at risk, we’ll be pals for life. Hell, even if you don’t make valid and logical choices due to religion (or recently, politics) I will still be a friend, or at the very least, not engage you in debates. I might for kicks or to gauge my understanding of a specific issue. But in most cases, we have better things to talk about than go around in circles. I will ask and want to talk to you about it because I love knowing about these things. I believe that if people can learn to understand and respect each other, we’d all have no problems and share a beer or two.

edit : I recently got married to the love of my life. I might be writing about married life as well.

edit : My wife had also given birth recently. I might dive into that soon too.

All things being said, please spare me from #pinoypride. I have a very different view of the mainstream version of it – then, and even now.

Feel free to drop me a comment, and follow my blog or something. If you encounter me on social media, I’m not a snob and you can add me – but at least send me a message in advance. Auto approve for those who find me through this blog (LOL).

Just wanted to thank you for following my blog! I enjoy reading your blog, it is very inspiring, and I look forward to reading more. I’ve never met an atheist who didn’t want to argue with me about beliefs 🙂 I’m open to all beliefs, so that doesn’t bother me, but it was interesting to read your About page and see that. Honesty and an open-mind are admirable. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your poetry!

Thanks for finding it interesting. I’m not sure about all other atheists, but I’ve got my hands full taking in life and the world in general for me to be shoving my beliefs down people’s throats. Not my kind of thing, but I’m always down for meaningful discussion about these things, and maybe walk away with a realization or two.
